Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, descriptive details, and clear event sequences.
Work Sample Description:
For this project, we had to create a totem pole using rolled construction paper and animal cut outs. We had a lot of different animal to choose from for our totem, or we could design our own. After we finished making the totem pole, we had to write a story about what it represents.
Work Sample:
My Reflection: What went well?
Choosing the right pictures to put on my totem pole and actually gluing the pictures onto the pole went well.
What was challenging?
Trying to cut out the pictures and trying to figure out the right words to use in the story was the challenging part.
What am I most proud of?
I am most proud of my story because I worked hard on it.
What would I do differently next time?
Next time, I would use more colors in my totem pole, and I would use a dictionary to find better words for my story.
